The first Fantasy Star (Lassic rules!) was my first electronic RPG. Arena: The Elder`s Scrolls was another great game too.

My first console rpg was Shining Force for the Sega. My first crpg was one of the SSI gold box D & D games, I can't remember which one though

My first RPG would have to be D&D around 1980. It might also have been Runequest, I don't quite remember. The first CRGP was either "The hobbit" or something roughly similar on a ZX Spectrum around 1985. The one's I remember well from those early days were "Zork", "Hitchhikers guide" and "Planetfall" on the PC (purely text) and later "Bards tale" on the Commodore Amiga.

Same here, man I played that game day and night. What I wouldn´t give to relieve that... :)

Word! I loved that game. That was my second RPG. I liked the Darkside of Xeen a bit better but, it was all in the same game, basically. I still play it now and again, even if the graphics are horrid compared to games like BG2, and Morrowind. I just loved some of the sound effects in the game-like the ninja attack in the winter area. I also liked the bazarre creatures like Flying Feet and Carnage Hands. Classic! :D

IIRC it's called the World of Xeen - a CD where you get Clouds of Xeen and Dark side of Xeen on a CD. You also get extra game called Swords of Xeen :)

Yeah, I knew that. The swords were horrible, though. It was obvious that they just glued together a bunch of graphics, threw in some random plot and that was that. Besides the game had plenty of bugs in it, and often crashed towards the end of the game. I forgive them for this joke of an addition because the world of xeen was just classic.

Oo-er, my first RPG was called Moraff's World - which actually had pretty great graphics for its time. On my ancient old Amstrad PC1640... :D Then after that when I got my 386 I was introduced to a game called Moria, which was like a super-refined version of NetHack (probably the oldest RPG I've ever played, but not the first) and from then on I was hooked. Many others swiftly followed. Swiftly? Ha. I must've played Moria for at least two years. No kidding...and I still never managed to kill that $*%& Balrog :D

The first one was a game called "Dark Dungeons" for the Commodore C64.

My first PC RPG was Ultima 6, followed by Martian Dreams and Savage Empire, both games were based on the Ultima 6 engine.

A long time later Master of Magic (a strategy / RPG mix based on Civilization 1) became one of my all time favorite games.

My first AD&D based games were Spelljammer and Dark Sun.

Been playing PnP AD&D for some years then.

Long time thereafter Bioware really brought AD&D back to the computer game scene with BG 1 ... :)
