Yep I agree. He was my main magic caster all the time I had an orb in his hands and he just waded into melee. It kicked ultimate ass! :D

That huge guy you meet at the docks, once he got the axe he was unstoppable, the shame was he wasn't as good with some of the later weapons, but with his axe and those specials....WOW! :D

You mean Apocalypse? Yes he was a right bastard. For once in an RPG you actually had to come up with a non-cheesy strategy. My palms have never sweated so much on my mouse! It was a really hard battle. Only one character? No healing, nothing you just rumbled with him. A good, proper fight.

I am sorry if it disrupts your discussion, but this seemed the best thread to post my gripe about warez and people that have the nerve to come onto such a dedicated board and boast they burn software.

It is annoying, not only that it goes on, but the impact that it has on designers, and innocent people who shell out the cash and get hit for the licencing costs...without a discussion thread being started about it...

@YSH as i have mentioned in the past i do not support pirating, i frown upon it, i have only ever had one pirated game on my comp and i wasn't going to buy it anyway, i agree with your post BTW.

If you have a problem with someone posting anything about Warez on this site then send to Buck, he'll remove the posts at very least.

@Sleep: I use a combination of both. My reaction time is incredably fast (Dunno if thats cause the mass amounts of caffine, or just natural). When I play though, I have adopted many military tactics to use against others. Lots of crouch and run tactics, room clearing and the such.

I find ducking doesn't work against the bots as they don't actually rely i specific shooting, ducking is however influential against human opponents.

The thing is if i played purely for the need to kill, then i would be better than i am. But unfortunately i love nothing more than running into the middle of a fight involving about 10 people/Bots and seeing if i can come out alive and take ass many of them with me if a i don't ;) :)

You guys should really get the mod 'Tactical Ops' for UT. Its like a 'Counter Strike' thing but for UT. The 'Overlord' level is a blast with more realistic weapons but killing the other players was a tad too easy. A few bursts of automatic fire took them down. Still it was very enjoyable. I played it after watching 'Saving Private Ryan' and I couldn't stop. Makes me feel like playing it again. :D

Oh stewardess, is this the ego section or non-ego section? Ego section, oh good :)

I can finish Quake 3 on Nightmare with little difficulty. Still, I think my space bar has been pressed more times than there are people on this earth! :D

I've always loved FPS games. I just find it exhilarating and I find that the adrenaline rush gives me such a buzz! :D

A lot of the time, I play games because I just simply enjoy them. Baldur's Gate series has captured me with its immense enjoy-ability. It doesn't give me that same adrenaline rush, but if I want that, then Quake 3 or counterstrike is only a log in away ;) :D

I've tried - I've also tried CTF'ing with the weapons from Tact.Ops.
My friend got so mad at me because he came running while fireing an assualt rifle ( :D ) and I just stood still and waited for him - then he came up to me - one shot to the head and he died :D One shot - one kill - damned he got mad at me :D - that was fun :D

The thing that gets me is that some people run around and start to swagger in those games. You walk up behind them, bam dual enforcers to the back of the head, either that or sniper 'em.

I have, being created by Volition it indeed looks very good. You can destroy walls and stuff and hide in then, many vehicles and very realistic damage models. According to some people "the most technically realistic game in creation."

First Person Shooter. Games like Quake, Unreal, Half-Life etc etc. :)
