I suggest 3 ranks per wing.

Thieves:
1 Shadow master
5 high thieves
everyone else bandits or similar name.

Mages:
1 High mage
5 Wizards
everyone else apprentice or similar name.

Warrior:
1 General
5 Majors
everyone else soldars or similar name.

Worship:
1 Pope
5 High Priests
everyone else cleric or similar name.

Nature (could be part of Worship, IMHO):
1 grand druid
5 High druids
everyone else child of the forest or similar name.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

I just now joined the guild so don't think i came out of the blue.

I agree with Gaxx's idea except I think the names need a bit more fine tuning. Maybe instead of General and Major it could be Baron and Lord (d2 got it right on that rank name for warriors)

instead of High Mage it could be Arch-mage

instead of High thief it could be Shadow Lurker or something

instead of Pope it could be Bishop

I also think there should be a rank for members who are new to the guild in each wing in addition to the normal member rank. Examples of new member ranks: aprentice, cut-purse, sapling, squire and so on.....

@ Thorin

I'm not pissed off, I just asked if your really thought that the guild was going to be that big. I would love that I just wanted to ask if you really did think that way.

@ Gaxx

To be honest I don't really want to be called a Bishop or Pope. It doesn't sound 'hard enough' you know what I mean? I would prefer 'Gods Chosen' or something.

Well "Gods Chosen" signals one god - and there are plenty out there (just now I figure out how many :D )

Then it should be Chosen of The Gods (but that might to long)

Hey, Nippy. How about "The Blessed", "The Anointed", or maybe "LordPriest" or something similar? Any of these sound appealing?

The anointed(sp?) sounds cool I think. :D

BUt how many ranks do people want?

Is there agreement behind Gaxx's idea with 3 ranks?? Or do people have any more/other ideas?

I almost like the idea of having only one rank of leader, and having some way of telling how many adventures each character has been on. Let that speak for itself, but there needs to be one leader to speak for the wing. The fewer different ranks, the better, IMHO.

We could just follow the GB ranks. Administrator, Moderator, Exhalted Member, etc. ;) :D :D

Problem is everyone is exalted.

The names I suggested were subject to the fact that it was late, I was tired, and I have zero creativity. The names were just suggestions. Most the names everyone suggested are good ones. The one problem is "arch-mage". Isn't an arch mage an uber-powerful mage? Considering we be starting at level 1...

Revised list (according to website):
Worship:
1 Chosen Paladin (although the leader is a priest so "Chosen One" is better)
5 High Priests
all else Disciples

Magi:
1 High Wizard (high mage sounds better, IMHO)
5 Mages
all else Apprentices

Nature:
1 Grand Druid
5 Nature's Chosen
all else Child of the Forest

Rogue:
1 Shadow Master
5 High thieves (sorry, but I think "Shadow Lurker" sounds wierd)
all else street thieves

Warrior:
1 Warlord
5 Lieutenants
all else soldars or canon fodder :D :D

Or just go with Aegis:
Hey you!
I'm your pimp, and you my ho!
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

Also I'd think that all guilds with a mage wing will have Archmages :D

I'm your Ned, and you my ho!

Hey you!
I'm your Ned the Kinfe, and you my Nedho!

Yea I just looked at my own post and "shadow Lurker" is too wierd. How about Dark Brother or Master Thief? Those sound better to me than High Thief (high thief sounds too noble). If you want the Priests (or paladins) to sound really tough you could go with Crusader or Templar. Both are warrior priests basically.

I Would love to be considered an arch-anything!!! HA!
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"
