Hello everyone, I got sent here from the bioware site, On standard icewind dale, whenever I load it up to play, I get black pixels as I play. I had the same issue with BG2 and there was a "disable vertex padding" in the config, and that fixed it there. Unfortunately, I don't see any button like this on the config for icewind dale.
I have a nvidia 8800 card and am running XP.
Also, installed icewind dale II (in an old games high recently) amd during the character creation phase, as soon as I get to the "appearance" part, the game freezes and crashes. any help or ideas are appreciated.
Thanks
*note* meant to call it "graphics gliches" but I think "fraphics" sounds good too. hehe

Its a problem with the 8800 series of cards, I have one and I get this problem trying to play PS:T. I think what you have to do is, in-game, under graphics settings switch to 16 bits, and then enable Software Transparent BLT and Software Translucent BLT.
This is from another forum for the G3 widescreen mod, but it should work with the 8800 series of cards. Its something to try, but I can't promise it'll work because I haven't done it myself.

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
