damaged Personality and luck

Post by Nattog »

hey everyone, i'm new to Morrowind, i'm coming to the game with a lot of Oblivion experience but im still getting used to most of the differences. today i noticed my personality and luck were red in my Stats showing personality at 52/60 and luck at 27/40 or something close to that.. i dont see anything in the Magic menu that is effecting me negatively. i tried using restore personality and luck potions but they didn't do anything. so thinking about Oblivion i figured i needed to find a alter or chapel to restore my stats, but i see the temples are a bit different in Morrowind. i tried to cure disease, blight, and poison and all failed... so im stumped, any ideas on what is effecting my stats and how i can restore them? thanks

I think you need...either restore (stat) and maybe you failed casting and didn't realize?? MW has a chance of casting failure. Also you may need cure disease/blight or whatever and it might cost some gold to use the temple??
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

i figured it out. when i used the restore personality and luck potions i didnt exit out of the menu so i never actually used the potion. i was used to oblivion where the potion effects you immediately when you click to use it. are there any alters in MW that work like the ones Oblivion where i can pray and restore all of my damaged abilities? thanks

Most Almsivi shrines, the gold coloured pylons that you find in temples and some Ancestral Tombs offer Cure Blight and Common Disease plus Almsivi Restoration which restores attributes.

Be aware though that there is a glitch which means that if you have an attribute that is boosted then any restoration wont work. You have to remove the boost before restoring. So for example if you're wearing a ring that fortifies Personality you have to remove it before casting restore personality or curing disease.
