Glitch with main quest - any ideas?

Glitch with main quest - any ideas?
Possible Spoiler. I started the quest where you need to get the third Mankar Cormoran Commentaries book. Did that and then went on with someother quests instead of going back to Baurus right away. When I resumed the quest much later I found Baurus in the Summermist mansion in Skingaard (the mansion associated with the assassin guild quest, which I completed long ago). He tells me to follow him to into the hidden sewers but being in Skingraad instead of the Imperial City Elven District he just stands there. Nothing happens. Tried "movetoqt" but it doesn't help. I tried to kill him so I could regenerate him where he belongs but he won't die (of course). Any ideas how I can fix the quest? Going back to a previous save isn't an option as that was about a dozen level ups ago and I don't have those saves anymore.

Got it
I figured out a work around using the setstage command. With a little help from "UESPWiki" I was able to get the Quest ID and I just used the command to complete that portion of the main quest. Thanks anyways.
