Divine Might & Divine Sheild

Post by Ch0k1ng »

I have a Dwarven Fighter4/Paladin4 PC. He just got 9th level and I have all the Prerequiste for Divine Champion. When I took the level, I didn't get Divine Might or Divine Sheild as feats I could take. Has this happened to anyone else? Do I need Extra Turning before I can take those feats. Thanks

you must be both:

in a class that has turn undead, AND

actually have the turn undead ability.

-all at the time of level-up with feat selection.

In this case Divine Champion does NOT have the turn undead ability, so it doesn't work

What you'll need to do is go back to when you leveled-up for 8th level and choose Divine Champion.. at 9th take a level of Paladin which DOES have both prerequisites and is during a feat/level-up (i.e. 9th level).

If you also want Divine Shield.. then you'll need to take another level of Paladin at 12th level-up.

Thanks for your help, I think that is silly that I have to be a paladin to take thoses feats. If I had known this I wouldn't have been a paladin past 3rd lvl. I would have taken my first level of Divine Champion at 8th Lvl.

Its complex, but far worse - there really isn't any information on this in the NWN2's manual. The complexity however imposes limitations that make a *good* character build all the more rewarding. ;)

The best thing I can suggest is before playing the game.. (or perhaps before continuing on):

1. Study the various classes and their prerequisites, AND
2. Use a module like Vordan's Hero Creator - and test out your build *before* playing the game (..or before continuing on with the game).

Vordan's Hero Creator -- Neverwinter Nights 2 Vault

Note that to get maximum value from the Paladin (from a power gamer's perspective) that you should select your 4th level of Paladin during a feat selection (presumably divine might), and of course repeat that process if you desire another restricted feat (like divine shield).
