To be more specific, I'm at the part near the end of Act I, after your party leaves Ember and heads to the Githyanki Base. I've fought my way through the passes outside, and have just entered the cave.
Now, this is my first time ever playing through NWN2... I'm only aware that a cutscene with the sword stalker is supposed to trigger upon entering the cave through reading mention of it. However, in my game nothing happens -- there's just a bunch of neutral Githyanki standing around doing nothing, and the sword stalker himself never spawns to trigger the conversation.
So, I have two possible agendas with this post:
A). Is there a way to fix it and get the conversation to trigger?
or
B). If there isn't a way to fix it, can you NWN2 savvy experts at least fill me in on what is said during the conversation? I've seen it noted that the the sword stalker reveals to you what the Kalach-Cha is, for example, and that seems like pretty important information I don't want to miss out on, for the sake of the game's on-going narrative.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm trying hard to get into this game as I did past games like BG2 and Torment, but crap like this really doesn't help.
(you know, you'd think that at version 1.11 Obsidian would have fixed stuff like this by now...)
[help] Cutscene with the "sword stalker" won't fire in the Gith cave. (spoilers)
I would not have thought anything in the post actually counts as a spoiler, since I am in fact asking for spoilers (in a sense), not telling them.
But whatever, it doesn't look like anyone is going to bother to help me on these boards anyway. Oh well. Hopefully the conversation I'm missing isn't that interesting. The rest of the area's cutscenes and triggers seem to have worked fine, and I've progressed into Act II now.
I can only hope it doesn't happen again, and that I didn't miss important information about the plot.
