Levelling up advice needed

Post by che_don_john »

Basically, I didn;t level up for a while, and increased many of my skills. When I eventually decided to sleep, I got offered about 4 level-ups in a row. Upon taking these, my enemies got too difficult to fight, and I was getting smashed to pieces.

Is there a way to level up that ensures I stay on an even par with my enemies? I have a save just before I levelled up so I can go back and do it again, or not do it as the case may be!

I suggest you use the search function, I tested using 'gaining levels' as the criteria and there are a few threads on the subject which should help.

One piece of advice I would give is to do the Mage guild recommendation quests and Kvatch (all of it) before getting to fifth level.

Always try search, first, as an instant source of answers on at least some questions--like this one, which has been discussed in great depth. Try the words "levels" and "leveling." Also check the mod sticky thread at the top of the forum, which everybody should glance out after joining up. It's a good resource, too.

Since the site owner won't tolerate duplicate threads (he says they slow the board down), this one is closed.
