Lots Of Healing Potions
Lots Of Healing Potions
Can someone tell me the best way to get larges amounts of healing potions
Best way: use your alchemy skill to make them. Not only is it free (assuming you harvest the ingredients yourself), but it also makes it likely you'll get good bonuses on your Intelligence when you level up.
Next best way: certain enemies are more likely to have heal potions (necromancers and conjurers especially) and most ruins where they hang out respawn after three days.

Can the answer to this question be "No"?

First, make any very simple potion often, to boost your alchemy skill. Of course, if your alchemy skill is incredibly low to begin with, you may find that takes a very long time. You could always pay a teacher to raise your level in this, though that's expensive in the early stages of the game.

Very useful site you linked to Fable, the only thing I'd query on it is the reference to Intelligence affecting the potency of a potion. After much experimenting I never noticed that intelligence had any effect on the quality, unlike Morrowind.
Also unlike Morrowind, there's no chance of failure when creating potions, even if you have the minimum 5 skill points. So increasing skill level from a very low base is in fact very rapid up until about 25 Skill points.

I would agree. It's an extremely detailed and useful site, but the Bethsoft devs deliberately removed the cheese factor of intelligence boosting in Oblivion to prevent the kind of abuses players had in Morrowind. (Why they didn't simply leave this to players to decide, as in Morrowind, which also had several mods that removed Intelligence potions, is beyond me.)galraen wrote:Very useful site you linked to Fable, the only thing I'd query on it is the reference to Intelligence affecting the potency of a potion.
