It's on one of the pedastals that have your trophies all around the perimeter of the throne room, but I don't remember which one. Just run around the outside edge of the room and look at all the trophies and you should find it.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

If im not mistaken, don't the trophies in the room count as duplicates?... bcuz I realized after doing the quests invloving those items (such as the chalice) I've come to think those aren't the real deal.

The only other way of getting the sword would be to look around while you're finghting Jyggalag, unless there isn't a sword that's actually usable.

Almost correct. After you defeat Jygallag go into your throne room and it will be behind the fountain (the one behind your throne) and it will be sitting on a pedestal. No, it is not a replica. It is the real deal.
We're all going to die some day, I intend to deserve it.
