Game Locking

Post by tyroz »

Hey everyone. I'm having a problem with this game, it locks up at the beginning of the game when I try to go up the hatch into Seda Neen. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Perhaps a gamesave JUST outside the hatch? Any help is greatly appreciated!

BTW: I'm on a PC with an Intel board and Intel dual core -- 2.33GHZ. 3GBs RAM. NVIDIA GT 7600.

It's still locking up at the hatch after the re-install. Any other tips I can try?

And no, I'm not running any modified game files of any sort. :)

Nice to meet you, Tyroz! I had a similar problem on an admittedly older machine trying to run Morrowind - have you tried setting the game's resolution to the very lowest possible to simply get through the character creation process? This was on a system running XP with less than a gig of RAM, but setting the graphics to the lowest setting and then raising them once in the town proper worked at the time. Best of luck!
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

Thanks for all the help and the warm welcome everyone! I'm trying the resolution idea now...

EDIT: It worked! Thanks so much everyone. I honestly feel really stupid for not trying that on my own... ;)

Glad you got the game running, mate - make sure to pop over to SYM before you head out! :)

EZ Fix without adjusting display

Hi All
I had this problem too on VISTA PC. Try CTRL ALT DEL to open Task Manager, then ALT Tab to get back in MW. This bypasses the graphics stop and the game continues.
