Fallout: Severe graphical problems on XP.

Post by rdeče.jabolko »

Hello,

Recently bought the Fallout collection DVD, but have had severe graphical issues;
namely with a black screen flickering and covering over the game area. Moving
the cursor clears sections of the screen briefly, only for the screen to go black
again. I have tried varying compatibility mode settings, and tried altering the
display properties troubleshooting settings, with no success.

Could anyone offer any suggestions as to how to overcome this? I have XP
service pack 2, and a Geforce 5200 graphics card. Fallout 2 doesn't work either,
but that issue seems to be covered here. [Disk space problem.] Any help
appreciated.

Thanks.

Apologies. I did look, but with my astounding observational ability I seemingly
managed to miss that thread. :o Had tried all but the msconfig startup solution -
and of course that was exactly what looks to have worked!

Thanks again.
