Rune magic

Post by Silverthorne »

Can anyone explain to me how rune magic works? When I click on the rune button in my inventory I get a menu that shows 3 different types or pieces of rune magic, after that I'm lost as to what to do. do the 3 pieces I have not tie into one another?

If you check the spell description by hovering the cursor over the spell, it should show a list or the runestones needed to cast the spell, and how many you need.

Example:

Shards of stone needs one (it says 100, but each stone countsd as 100) of each of Aenir, Cythoen, Erillae, Feohn and Geomyn. So you need both the spell, and the requisite stones in order to be able to cast the spell.

Rune Blade requires 2 (200) Aenir, 1 Cythoen and one Feohn. As a further example.

In my experience there's only one NPC that sells all the spells and all the stones, and that's Grymlock, who lives in his tower in the far north of the Demigoth Lands.

Actually, Grymlock sells all of the *working* Rune Magic spells. The editable ones do not work at all, even if you have the necessary runestones. Learned this the hard way...
