I've tried looking to see if anyone's had this problem but didn't see any threads/posts. So if i missed any of 'em sry...
But here's my problem. Im doing the main quest and currently on the part where the argonian mage asks you for the 'Commentary Books 3 & 4' to find the Mythic Dawn Hideout. However, I was stashed Books 1-3 temporarily in a chest at the Cloud Temple but I didn't know those chests respawn - now book 3's gone So momentarily im stuck bcuz this stupid move...
Has anyone done this?...if so, is there anyway to push through it without the 3rd Book?
Edit: Nevermind. I found out myself.

Generally speaking, the game won't let you drop unique quest items while the quest is in progress (and sometimes even after you finish it, but that's another thread). I know that's not much help, but you should be able to find a replacement.
So momentarily im stuck bcuz this stupid move...
