Game Crashes Leaving West Gate of Fargrove

Can anyone help me? When I try to leave the west gate after getting the letter from Lord Davenmor I get a box that runs along the top of my screen in the box it reads ; TerrQuad.ReadTerrObjFileInfo:: INVALID SLOT #14 and the game crashes I have to go into the task manager to end task the game otherwise I just sit at the west gate. Anyone have any suggestions?

We need to know what version of the game.

What version of windows.

What's your video card, and you should have latest video drivers.

How much ram do you have.

What's your processor speed.

You need DX9.0c installed if you have XP and service pak2.

A compatible sound card for DX.

Dungeon Lords was created before Vista was released. Right now, there's not many drivers for older hard ware and software. If you are using Vista, you might try running the game in XP compatability mode. To do that, right click on the desktop game icon, choose proverties, XP compatability mode.

I'm playing DL CE 1.5
version of windows is vista
video card is nvidia 7300 LE
2 Gigs of ram
Dual Core processors running at 2.14 Gigahertz each
DX 10
I have tried running it in compatibilty mode for each version of windows

Ok... I went into the game properties and ran the game in windows 2000 compatabilitie mode and as system adminstrator. There was only 1 save file when I started the game back up it was the first save I made so I just started the game over I hope it works. Thnx for your help, I will let you know if I get to leave Fargrove after completing the the quests. again TY.

Thnx for the help I got out of Fargrove....Now I just have to get a better graphics card the nvidia 7300 LE really sucks outside of town I'm real laggy in anything other than 800x600 resolution. LOL think I'll go get the nvidia 8800 GTS its made for DX 10 and i should be able to up the resolution to at least 1280x1024. Ty again for the help in gettin Vista to work with this game I like playing it.
