Lock And Key Quest "need help"

Hey Everyone, this is my first time on the forums...

But here we go, I need help with the "lock and key" quest in the game, I have progressed far without completing it, but that is a required or main quest if I'm not mistaken, so all the levels I've gained will count for nothing if my suspicions is right

Okay here's the deal, I find the secret agent, meet him at midnight in the sewers, he says something " come on boys set the ladder up" or something similar to that...

But here's the thing, there is no ladder, I've walked everywhere in the sewers...
And I think it might be a bug, can someone please tell me if I'm not just doing something wrong?

I don't want to do everything over again that I've already done

They put up the ladder at the exact spot where you meet them.
I believe it is shown in a cut-scene as well.

If you didn't, have you patched your game?

Try an earlier save game (you should have multiple saves to select from as the game auto saves/quick saves in different slots).

.... I knew it was a bug , and I haven't done the patching since I only have a crappy 56kb at home, guess I can download that from work

At least I know I have to do everything over again...

*sigh*
