Post by Possleak »

i already have the book from grymlock, and the moonstone , as i hit shift while standing on the moonbridge (in arindale), the window pops up and i navigated to valley of ruins (only have arindale and valley of ruins) and on the left , lit up are the icons for arindale , i clicked on each individual icon for valey of ruins (those icons are a dull red ) and lights flash ...presto ..i'm still in arindale... my question is what am i doing wrong ...and is this a bug ?

Are you sure you pressed the buttons in the right order? It doesn't sound like you've actually used a moonbridge yet in your game, so you might want to activate a couple more (like the one in Fargrove) and see if you can get any destination to work for you.

If for some reason the moonbridge in the Vale of Ruin won't work for you, I know there are threads in the forum about climbing the mountains to get in. You might try searching for them.

I believe that you haven't yet unlocked enough moonsighns to travel to the Vale of Ruin. The Vale of Ruin required all three red moonsighns, and I'm not talking about orange moonsighns. I'm sure it will work for you if you unlock more moonsighns by travelling to the different moonbrodges on foot.

Correct guys, but to summarize.

How moon gates are used.

1) You gather moon runes 2 ways - visting a moongate by walking to it and clicking on it will give you the runes of its 'address' One rune you will get from a NPC as part of your quest.

2) Each moongate location has a 'address' You get a address also from visting moongates and from that NPC in a quest. The address of moon gates you know show up in the scrollable list when you activate a moongate.

3) The moongate shows 3 runes - you must click on each rune in the same sequece as the address shows.

4) Normally you then get a magic glitter effect and are transported to the target moongate - for some reason whenever I travel FROM Fargrove, I never get the gliter efect, but still travel just fine.

That seems to happen sometimes. My first 2 games I played worked fine at fargrove. This time around I have the same glitch going on no glitter at fargrove.
