Problems with Tavoricks estate (spoiler)

Hello. I am having problems at tavoricks estate. I have killed teh big demon in the basement, but after i do there are no cut scenes or anything. Taverick does not talk and so i can't go on to the next part of the mission. The journal stills says that i need to head to the basment even though i have done it. Can anyone help?
