I've recently been tryin (a lot) to use the Morrowind Editor to, well, make things. I (kinda) know how to edit things in the game (such as adding weapons & armor, or moving pre-existing buildings), but when it comes to actually designing new, custom buildings, I just can't make the Editor program work for me. This is the part where I feel stupid, cuz there's plenty of written instructionals & help topics, but no matter how much I read them & try to do what they say, I just don't seem to be doing it right. It all seems to be straight-forward & well written, yet I don't get it :( . Does anybody know how to make their own buildings, & would you be able to explain how you do it :o ?

P.S. I'm not extremely "technically savvy", so layman's terms help ;)

Ok....do you want to create new items and such by making your own models and meshes and such...or by using the models from items already in game?

If you want to create completely new models you need to get a program like 3D Studio Max. If you just want to create your own stuff from pre-existing models and whatnot then you can find all the models on the TES Construction Set disc and then just apply them to a new item and add all the little stats and stuff. XP

And if you've been making models and can't get them to work...well...I can't figure out how to do that either....T_T

Check out the Modders Resource and Tutorial sticky thread, cleverly concealed at the top of the forum so no one can find it.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
