Shouldnt the machined plate give bonus strenght?

In the schematic description it says that it gives strenght, but i dont get any .
is that a bug or is that how its suposed to be?

Yes, it's a known bug that *should* have been fixed in the official patch (v1.074), but I didn't notice the difference. I think there's a fanmade patch for that located on Terra Arcanum, so you might want to check there.
