Ok, I've played on my current file for a while now, and do NOT want to give it up to this stupid mistake of mine. Here's my dilemma...
I'm on the second last quest of the game ("Paradise"), and all was going well up until I entered the Forbidden Grotto. Now I'm a custom, assassin like class, so my first reaction to a Mythic Dawn patrolling around towards me is shoot him, which is what I did. Only after looking up the quest on this site did I realize that I shot the guy responsible for letting me out of there. He respawns, but will not talk to me at all. I only have a weak charm spell, which I have tried, with no luck. He will not accept my yields.
To sum it up,
Killed Eldamil, Eldamil angry, can't continue.
Can anyone point me in the direction of help, or am I completely boned?
Thanks,
bucketbot
EDIT : Might I add that I made the mistake of saving after I killed him the first time (not knowing I was doing anything wrong), so loading a previous save is out of the question.
Eldamil Problem (XBox 360)
spoiler
If you befriend Eldamil, he helps you bypass some baddies on your way to the exit, disappears for a while and then comes back to remove the bands so you can escape. You can get to the exit without him (spoiler - highlight to read:) and maybe when you get to the exit he'll have cooled off enough to remove the bands for you.

Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Saving over you last save game repeatedly has been my mistake too.
He's right it is not the end of the world as I did it just that way because I didn't trust the sucker.
On the other hand you almost deserve to be totally boned resaving over and over on the same slot. I can say this because I did the same thing, and had resaved over and over on the same slot, and then "fell through the floor" into the "basement" of a dungeon. I very stupidly did not notice I had did this, and resaved and then could not get out. I didn't know about the pc command console cheat "movetoqt" which I felt I could have used honorably to extricate myself from a "bugged" trap. I ended up vy going back to my last slot I hadn't resaved over, and went from level 32 to like level 12.
Good luck with the problem and watch that saving over the same slot business.

Have you ever considered that the sole reason for your existance is to merely serve as a warning to others?
