Morrowind Fixpack.

Post by Crenshinibon »

Is there such a thing as a fixpack for Morrowind? Some of the files get corrupted and erased for a whatever reason and while some of them I can recover with the CD, others I can only get through a reinstallation. That's quite annoying and time consuming so, yeah, basically I'm looking (not sure if it exists or not) for a little program that could either copy some files in the proper directory or fix the corrupted files.

For repairing corrupted files, the best tool I've come across is Wrye Mash

Be aware that you will need to download and install all of the following:
*the latest version of Wrye Mash
*Python 2.5
*wxPython 2.8.0.1 ANSI for python 2.5.

All downloads, as well as documentation, are on the page I linked to above

Thanks for the link and reply.

This looks kind of like a mod management tool, or is it one of the bonus functions?

If it's the Python I'm thinking of then the program is written in this language, so does it really need something to run it? What are the two python items you listed?

More specifically I want the original files fixed as I'm not much of a mod user. The problem now is that every time I try to rest the games lags and produces a message box that it could not find a temporary file to overwrite or execute. Something along those lines. So in the case that an entire file is missing, would the program be able to replace it?
