Miscarcand (spoiler, possibly) Problem

I have entered Miscarcand, and gone through the entire cell, and found one pressible block and a pressure plate. I've activated them both, but still cannot get back up to the door that goes to Sel Vanua because the iron gate between the lower level and the upper level doesn't budge. I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but I can't find anything in the walkthrough.

In the unpatched version of the game, there is a glitch that can prevent some of the Ayleid doors in Miscarcand from opening when activated. Installing the v 1.1.511 patch fixes this problem.
