Witchgirl(Spoilers ?)

Post by joe05 »

... I have a question
Plus, I may add some character info ... so if you want to be surprised, don't read anymore :-)
--------------------------------

Well, I find out she Summons a Storm Antronach = not good in tight places
Plus, her skills are "awesome"; as she points out :-)

Gramps advice was to let her use her sword, but it's overpowered.
So I gave her a Silver Shortsword; for now.

I checked her "magical tricks" and "extra tricks" ... I see many useful ones and "Stop all Spells"
Ok, I stopped her spells, so she would use her sword.
But, how do I switch her back into "Summon-ing" ?
Did I miss a dialogue option ?

I thought a "resume spells" would show up; nope.
Am I missing something ?
I assumed I could tell her when to Summon and when not to = according to Gramps

How do I control her fighting style Summon or Sword ... can I control it ?

Then again I see 4 spells per dialogue option.
If I choose one and tell her to "stop", I'm back to no Summon-ing.
Plus, I take a big hit to persuasion.

Not sure how I get Witchgirl to "use" what I prefer(... whether another spell or her sword) then switch back to her default of Summon.

Thanks for the help/advice.

Pardon my ignorance, but who on earth is Witchgirl?

It's a good companion mod by Emma. One of her earlier ones, so not quite as much dialog.

Joe, your best bet is posting your questions about Witchgirl in Emma's forum, which you can find here. You can also download her other mods, here. She hosts Kateri's Julian mod, which I strongly recommend, by the way.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Indeed..
In fact, I highly recommend Julan and Constance together!
You almost feel as though you have a party.

Incidentally, both Julan and Constance should be compatible with Witchgirl, so you could even run all three.

I'm not sure, Joe, how to address your problem, so like Fable, I suggest posting your question at Emma's forums, the crowd there is very friendly and helpful.

Sometimes, if you have issues with companions they can be resolved by opening up your console, and clicking on the companion. You then type in:

StartCombat Player

When they attack, type in:

StopCombat

This can clear up following bugs and the like. Also have you tried placing Morgana somewhere and then asking her to rejoin?

With Emma's companions (Using Grumpy's script) you don't need to do the combat thing in the console. Just give them a whack in the face and it'll reset.

... ok downloaded Julan
Now I can have 3 follow me.
First, I'd better figure out how to use one :-)

As of now, I basically just have Witchgirl follow and "guard".
She's so overpowered, and I can't figure how to control her/use her skills = I guess "guard" is better than leaving her at home ?

I hope someone over at Emma's can help.

Thanks.
