Fallout 2 Combat Difficulty question

Post by egofalter »

Does the difficulty leve that you can set in the prefences affect anything other than the difficulty in combat? For instance, does it affect the types of weapons that can be found, how much exp. you get, or anything else?

I've noticed mention of certain weapons found in specific places that just aren't there for me. And certain types of ammo aren't appearing on vendors for a couple of powerful weapons I've found, making them pretty much useless. I was just wondering why I can't find these items.

No, as far as I know it shouldn't affect those things.

It's just pure luck when those ites/ammos get available at vendors, so resting couple of days and then rechecking is the best option

I don't believe that fight difficulty affects drops but it does make enemies aim for body parts more and hit more often.
