Well, besides the fact that Interplay might go under (something tells me that it's financial problems had to do with the cancellation of TORN), Interplay whacked itself pretty hard apparently:

Personally, I say good luck to the game developers.
Interplay killing itself
Interplay is probably going to separate. I think the problem is that Interplay published games are too mixed
The Good:
1) Fallout
2) Fallout 2
3) BG series
4) Icewind Dale
5) MDK2
6) Giants: Citizen Kabuto
7) Sacrafice
8) Planescape Torment
The Bad:
1) Descent to Undermountain
2) Invictus
3) Dragon Dice
4) Blood and Magic
It seems that with more good games than bad games that Interplay should profit. However, the good games although did fairly well on the market, were never bestsellers with the exception of BG series. With all these mixed games and financial troubles, Interplay will have to go.
Also Bioware have tried to separate itself form the dying Interplay. Bioware just filed two lawsuits against INterplay. They cancelled Torn. The future for Interplay is murky.

The Church could use someone like that.

interplay has been around a long time, they would have to have had seriously f@@ked up their finances to not survive now.
i remember them at least as far back as 1989 (battlechess). which is quite a long time for a game developer...

I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor
