Nar Shadaa problem on XBOX

Post by D00M_C0W »

Alright, I finished Goto's yacht and it takes me to Mira's safehouse with Zez-Kai Ell like it's supposed to. However, after I'm done with the dialogue, he leaves and the door remains closed, leaving me trapped. I've reloaded multiple times, starting at the end of goto's yacht and repeating all the dialogue, but the same thing always happens. I've also tried doing battle with him, but the door remains closed after I kill him.

I believe that the glitch may occur when the Jedi is supposed to teach me something. After choosing the dialogue line "Do you have anything to teach me," the game just sort of freezes up for a second, and I can hear the door open, but then it goes right back into the dialogue with him. Once the dialogue finishes, I'm left in the room and the door is closed, with no means of opening it. It's also worth mentioning that I do not receive any new abilities.

Something similar happens if I choose to do battle with him: Once I get him down to about half health, it seems like the game wants to trigger a dialogue - it goes into dialogue mode for about a second, during which time I can hear the door open - but then it leaves dialogue mode and I'm still standing there with Zez-Kai Ell and the door is still closed. At this point, Zez-Kai Ell doesn't attack or do any action, though he is still hostile. If I continue to attack him, he will fight back, and when I kill him, my journal updates, but the door stays closed.

Nar Shadaa is my second planet, after Dantooine. When I killed Vrook on Dantooine, the same thing happened, with the split second dialogue screen when Vrook was at half health, but I didn't think anything of it because it didn't affect my ability to finish Dantooine.

This really sucks.

Edit: I see that there was recently a post about a similar issue (http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii-61/help-stuck-door-wont-open-88470.html), but that was for the PC platform and I don't have the liberty of being able to play around with the game files.

Edit #2: I guess I didn't exactly specify this in my post, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if anyone has any ideas as to what could be going wrong. I've pretty much given up on the game at this point... now I'm just looking forward to Mass Effect, but I would still be interested in hearing about how others have worked around this.

Edit #3: I replayed through the game from a save point before I encountered Master Vrook on Dantooine. This time, I didn't kill him. I didn't encounter any problems or glitchiness when talking to him. I thought maybe this would clear up any problems I might have with Zez-Kai Ell later on. Unfortunately, once I played through to the point at which I had been stuck previously, in Mira's room, the exact same thing happened. Ugh.
