Well I am starting to worry about all my attacks now. I really don't want to kill people for nothing but the whole idea I might mess up a quest is getting to me. So my question is are there any real random npc's?
I have found several bandits around that I cannot find quests to, though they are in camps or around fires. I know if they attack first it is ok to kill them but I am just concerned that by killing them without a quest if they are part of a quest will it ruin it? One particular lot, at the Yakaridan camp near Tel Vos on the way to the Zaibab? Camp.
Ohh dear I might be rambling but any advise would be helpful. Thanks, E
Just slaughter away! If they are related to any quest, killing them will only save you the trouble of going there again. There are a few exceptions where initially hostile NPCs can actually be of use for training and the like once calmed. But these instances are highly optional and nothing vital is ruined by killing hostile NPCs, not in my experience anyway. Friendly NPCs are another matter.

Ahh its just so different to all the other rpg's I have played. Hostile NPC's never have names. So its weird when you come across them and they do. I just never quite know if I am doing the right thing. Its hard they designed this game way too well!!!
I should perhaps add that there are no randomly generated NPCs in the core game, mods excluded. Each character is an individual with a fixed name and location, even the ones that are hostile.
