Silly Fargoth

Post by Enchantra »

Hi, well I am finally getting the hang of this game. So I thought I would do the fargoth's hiding palce one. I went and visited the guy in the tradehouse and I am doing everything right, spying on him at night where I should be and he never seems to go there. Have I left it too long? I want that ring back!

As I recall, it should happen around 10 or 11 in the evening. Keep a sharp lookout over the small lake/swamp region. Best of luck. :)

I went up there and waited til about 5 in the morning when it was getting light. I then thought maybe I didnt trigger the scene to happen so I went and talked to everyone again adn the guy in the tradehouse asked if I have found the hiding place yet. But wouldn't give me any other dialogue.

So I went back up there at about 8pm and again waited til about 2 and still nothing. Maybe I am destined to have to kill fargoth for the ring.

Odd. Be sure you're on the top level of the lighthouse, and keep an eye on that lake and its approaches. Fargoth should go in there. I have no idea what could be wrong.

The ring isn't worth the hassle as there a far better items than that in the game. Just a thought though, did you get the ring from the barrel in the outside bit of the place where you start the game (just before you enter the room to speak to the person that gives you instructions to go to Balmora)? You need to get the ring there and give it to Falgoth or he doesn't have the ring to hide in the first place.

(Sorry if that makes little sense, I've just got out of bed  )

Yep Yep...and it made perfect sense. I am over it so thanks for all the help but I am going to put it down to a mystery illness that befell the game just for me. Hopefully there will not be any other mysterious hiccups along the way.

I have periodically had it happen that Fargoth "stands me up" :D
I suspect it could be some kind of bug that occasionally occurs.

As Mr.Sir mentions though, don't worry about it. In terms of usefullness that ring does not have a particularly long lifespan. Your character will soon have enough hit points that the paltry few that can be healed by the ring won't matter, and you will quickly discover items with much better healing capabilities, not to mention healing spells if you develop some skill in Restoration.
