Quest Question for Shivering Isles. (SPOILERS)

Post by Siberys »

I'm not expecting an answer anytime soon since the game JUST came out, but when other people start playing, I would like to ask for some help on a quest.

I went through the Mania side of the Gatekeepers Doors, and began traveling. Along the way I came across a town called "Split" and in there I was given a quest to destroy all the duplicates of people that are on the Mania side. However, my character is more of a good natured person, thus Mania is a side I -don't- want to hurt.

I'm curious, does anyone know how to reverse the quest around? I've tried talking to the quest giver and his duplicate, nothing helped. I've also tried killing the quest giver as to show I'm with Maniacs, which he only goes unconscious.

Anybody got any advice?

close your eyes and turn your volume all the way down as you cut down the duplicates? just a suggestion.... you can even admit you *accidentally* pressed the attack button

That...doesn't really help me in any way.

I'm asking how to change a quest, not just close my eyes and hope for the best.

Besides, if I try to kill the evil duplicates (Dementia), they just go unconscious, and wake back up a few seconds later.

I haven't done this quest yet, but it would be consistent with the way many of the quests work if you are irrevocably stuck on one path after you make your initial choice. Loading a saved game from before you talked to the dude might be your only option on the 360. On the PC there are probably console codes you can use to reverse your choice.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
