Problems with Remove Disease

Post by galraen »

Problems with Remove Disease (possible spoilers)

I'm in the graveyard (rescue the commander quest) and have Elenee in my party but every time I try to cast remove disease she casts it automatically on someone who isn't diseased. I don't get the option to target the spell myself, she just casts it herself. The first time she was the one diseased but she insisted on casting the spell on Neeshka every time. The second time Neeshka was diseased, and she'll only cast it on herself!

I've playing v1.4. At first I thought it maybe because Neeshka was using stealth, and therefore had the reduced movement icon, but the 2nd time that wasn't a factor, so that wasn't the problem.

I decided t give this game another try after abandoning it once, and it isn't going well. I hate the interface, and the AI is possibly the worst I've ever come across. I certainly can't recall a worse AI at the moment. Add that to the fact that Obsidian obviously don't have a clue what Role Plying Game means, and I'm at the stage right now where if I see any game with Obsidian in the credits I won't be buying it.

If you have a character targeted, then Elanee will automatically cast the spell on that character. If you don't have a character targeted, then the cursor should turn into a targeting cursor so that you can select who to cast the spell on.

If you know all that and you're still getting weird stuff, then I don't know. I never had any problems with casting spells.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Thanks, being a bit dumb, I hadn't realised that if character's portrait was showing in the 'target' window that he/she would be the automatic recipient of any spell that was cast. Strikes me as a strange way of doing things. But problem sorted, now if there was only some way to improve the AI!
