Can't walk forward?! Help??

Hi.. I was perfectly happy playing Oblivion today when I found that I could no longer walk forward for more then a step or two.. and VERY slowly at that. My character was not over-encumbered/paralyzed/disabled.. I can walk using Q for a longer distance but no running.. any ideas?? I used shift, Q, and W in my other applications without a problem so its not the keys themselves. My computer and graphics cards are up to specs and until this morning the game was working just fine. Please help!!

If CapsLock is on, you will run by default, so if you're used to that and then turned it off by accident it would seem like you're moving really slow. Ditto if you went into sneak mode without meaning to. Other than that, I'd say it might be a glitch in the program, try restarting the game and/or loading a save game.
