slow downs

I downloaded the spell tomes plug-in off x-box live and now the game is choppy and is freezing for a few seconds at a time. Also it takes forever to load. I deleted spell tomes and it didn't fix anything. Anyone got any suggestions?

Have you tried clearing the cache? Press and hold "A" from the time you put the game in until the Bethesda logo with the gear disappears.

Nothing is happening. I just get the disclaimer and then the start screen

You won't actually see anything happen, but it should increase performance and reduce the number of mysterious crashes. Just load your game normally after the start menu comes up.
