is there any way to choose to become dagoth ur's friend again or is the storyline only written in the so called "good side" version?

Not in the original game (unless I missed something), however there is a mod called 'Sixth House' by Endrek Sar, that allows you to change sides, you can find it here: Endrek Sar's Oblivion Gate, you can also find other excellent mods both for Morrowind and Oblivion on the same site.

there isn't anything i can do then if i have an xbox (referring to playing the evil side).
