Transferring builds OC

Post by Tricky »

I have fairly simple question to which I could not find a definite answer. I picked up Platinum today because NWN2 left me with build ideas I couldn't realize. Level cap and lack of modules nonsense. Can I or can I not transfer characters from one module to the next, like in Baldur's Gate?

I am unsure as to what is actually included in the Platinum box, however between the original campaign, Shadows of Undretide and Hordes of the Underdark you can move characters to and from each, if you have all of them installed.
You can't go over L20 unless you have HotU installed and so of course.

However, notice that SoU and the NwN:OC is made for lowlevel characters to start with, and unless you've played them for "real" first, you could quickly find that they become (more) boring with high level overpowered character.

But you can start a character in NwN:OC, move it into SoU and then into HotU. (Or reverse if you so please)

If however, your question is if you can import your character into NwN2, then you can not.

Thanks. The latter wasn't actually part of my question (my bad), but it is good to know I won't have to try that.

As long as they fit the starting requirements that the module allows (ie: You can't start HotU with a 25th level character; the character must be 15th or less)

(at least, I don't think you can- now that I've written it, I'm not so sure...)

Actually, you can.

I just loaded up a level 20 Wizard with one level of Archmage and 5 of Sorcerer In HotU.
