problems since latest patch

Hello all
Recently updated with latest patch-ever since then, computer randomly quits and reboots itself in the middle of gameplay yet I haven't seen any similar complaints within the forum-game was running just fine prior to this. Curiously, the other user on this machine reports absolutely no such problem either before or after the update. NWN2 not much fun to play anymore. Thoughts? Similar problems? Any help greatly appreciated.

I'd guess that this may not be a problem with the game but with your PC... it sounds like something that might happen from over-heating, perhaps lack of power to your video card, or bad RAM. I know for sure that in an older PC of mine with bad no-name memory my PC used to power off and reboot for no good reason.

Is NWN2 the only game you play that really puts a load on your memory or video card? If not, then at least you can discount all these problems, although bad RAM can be hard to diagnose... (in that old PC another symptom was that web browsers (only) would hang; all other prog's ran fine... weird).

Appreciate the input. Seems odd though that the problem is specific to one user. Have played many games with similar demands too. Apparently need to investigate a bit. Many thanks for your suggestions.
