Disappearing Comrades?

Post by DeadJester »

All right, so I'm playing through the Mage's Guild quests in Balmora. I find Itermerel, or whatever, at the Eight Plates and agree to take her to Pelagiad so I can retrieve some notes. I walk around town preparing and whatnot with her following me, until I go to the fine alchemy shop to buy some potions. When I exit the shop, Itermerel has disappeared and I can't find her anywhere. I tried Eight Plates, backtracked all my steps, still don't know where she is. I need to find her and keep going on with my mission. Any help would be appreciated.

There are some really bad problems involved with followers in the game. In general, he's a good idea to save frequently when accompanied by one, and always before entering shops. I've lost companions that way. :rolleyes:

Try going back to outside The Eight Plates, then open your console (type ~), and enter RA. Hit Enter, and close the console; enter TEP, and Itermerel should be there.

If not, you'll have to try the PlaceAtPC command, but that involves first finding the game ID for Itermerel. I don't know that offhand; if nobody else here does, try asking on the Elder Scrolls board.

Well, at least Construction Set gives claims that the ID is "itermerel" (without the "" -characters...).

Then the console command would be:

PlaceAtPC "itermerel" 1,1,1

Back up a step, DeadJester, and Itermerel should be standing in front of you. However, you'll probably need to reestablish the quest by going through the short dialog, again. It shouldn't be necessary to take Itermerel back to TEP.

Done and done, thanks for the help. Unfortunately, I've come across another issue. Early in the game I looted the Andrano ancestral tomb and sold everything I could out of it, including the skull of Llevule Andrano. Now I realize this is a quest item, and it's long gone. Can I use another quick console code to recreate the skull?

Yes, type into your console exactly as follows:

'Player -> AddItem "misc_Skull_Llevule" 1'
