At the Temple I am being told the location is being added to the map but it isn't.

Any ideas?

When there are too many locastions on the map is scrolling obvious? I can't see how there might be any unseen ones.

The tomb is located in the southeastrn corner of the Merchant Quarter. It's not on the world map.

MY BAD
when he said he was marking the location on the map I assumed it was the World Map not the standard map. ;)
