stuck in sunken flagon

stuck in sunken flagon

We have just begun act II and are stuck in the sunken flagon...no matter how the party is configured, whether peeps are in the group or not (this is a LAN multiplayer game) when we click on the door to leave the normal window pops us allowing to configure the party, when the "accept party" button is pressed the window simply closes and we are still inside the Flagon...is this intended and I'm just missing something or is it a bug? Any help or advice is appreciated.

When this happens to me in the single player game, it's because I have a companion selected rather than the main character. So perhaps the host is the one who has to exit the area? It's odd that apparently something worked for you through Act I but doesn't in Act II.
