You can't really "join" the Twin Lamps per se like you can the guilds and houses, but if go to the main Gamebanshee page and go to side quests, it will show you Twin Lamps. Go to that link and it will tell you what you can do.
Personally I find the Twin Lamps bit fascinating. I stumbled across it during a different game after I had freed a ton of slaves and began looking for anyone that displayed "abolitionist" or twin lamps dialog and freed every slave I could! It's interesting that my character will steal just about anything he can, but only kill when he has to (have killed one extraneous character because I wanted the house to store my stuff - but I am a Morag Tong guild Master) but frees every slave I can find. Interesting mix of morals huh!

I always liked that part about Morrowind, freeing the slaves. No one forces or asks of you to free slaves, it is entirely up to you. Nothing to gain, just.. your own conscience to follow. Or not. :)

The "there is no hope" kind of slaves made me feel sad though. Nothing you could do for them. :(

Same here, very much so, I have a Bosmer that will free every slave possible but is the Morag Tong master also. Her stronghold is bursting at the seams with books and booty. :D

Xeroth, if you're on a PC with plenty of memory, you may want to check out the mod sticky at the top of the forum. There are 3 mods that set up a series of quests so you can join the Twin Lamps. One actually lets you join either the Twin Lamps or the Slavers.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
