where's my Neverwinter Nights 1 mercinary gone?

Post by BehindEnemyLine »

Hi I hope someone can help me? I finished chapter 1, defeating Dester but my mercinary, the halfling you get in the hall of Justice at the start, died. I wanted to loot around after defeating Dester but he'd cursed me and, without a thief, I didn't think it sensible to look for traps. Tried to use the stone of recall to get back to the ritual chamber to resurect him but it said it wouldn't work in that area. So I thought it wouoldn't do any harm to click on the option that says go back with Dester. Then of course chapter 2 begins and I'm in a different place altogether. I've looked round, both where you start off and where the stone of recall takes you for chapter 2 and I can't find him. I didn't manage to complete the first installment of the henchman quest because I only found out that your mercinary could offer you a quest at level 7. Anyway so does this mean I've lost him and that I can't do any of the henchman quests now? Surely he must be resurectable from somewhere?
Thanks :)

Hmmm.... All companions of the first one shouold be in the opening area (on the other side of the door) Near Aribeth and Aarin.

Daelen Red Tiger is near the door, along with Tomi.

A point of Reference: THe Stone of Recall goes to the Temple of Tyr, buried in a cave outside Port Llast. THe Temple inside the city/village has a portal to get there.

ANd lastly: You only need to be character Level 6 to do the quests,
Spoiler
and you will find Tomi's and Boddyknocks in the Beggar's Nest. Respectively, in the Wagon shop near the Temple & the Baker's just north of the District Entrance.
Which means that a Wizard 3/Sorcerer 3 will be able to get them done. And I used a spoiler tag, so Highlight to read.
