Wounded bear in SoU

Post by fable »

It's not in the GameBanshee walkthrough, but there's a wounded bear in the foothills, NW of Ferran Valiantheart. As I'm running a sorc, I can't talk to it, but I can apparently heal it using kits. Problem is, once it's healed, it just sits there. It is capable of dialog, presumably with Druids. Any clue what it's about, and whether you can do the quest if you're not a druid?

Nope, tried it multiple times with different characters, my most recent one a rogue. I think that druids are the only ones able to actually find out what's wrong with it.
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Druids and Rangers (IIRC) can talk to the bear, but it's not a big thing.

Off-topic posts deleted. I'd simply like to know what the deal is with the named bear. What is it, and what does a druid get for healing him?

IIRC you get a (small?) amount of exp and a dialogue with the bear. Afterwards it'll follow you and attack monsters if I'm not all too wrong.

Thanks! That's what I wanted to know. :)
