Question about Grey Prince

When you get the journal and he trains you. It says that your attribute increases are permanent. I noticed that these increases do not go towards leveling (Blade is a major skill of mine). Does this also mean that you lose those 3 points towards leveling permanently (i.e. Is my max Blade skill still 100 so I in effect lose 3 leveling points). I think that I set my character up so that I can get exactly 52 levels (520 possible points); but if I lose 3 points due to this quest then I can only get to level 51 w/ 7 points left over.

Don't know for sure, but since the effects show up in the magic effects tab of your journal, I suspect they might actually make your max 103. If not, you can still get that last level (and more) by doing time in prison. When you come out, one or more random skills will be decrease (depending on how big your bounty was and therefore how long you stayed in prison). If it's a major skill, increasing it again counts toward leveling, so in theory you can level forever (although I think there's an absolute limit of 256).
