Help me please

Hey guys I was hoping someone on these forums might be able to help me, I was playing Oblivion and then I got Gears Of War and I didn't play it for like a month, but then I saw that the expansion came out the other day, So I wanted to beat it before I got the expansion. (I have only 2 more main missions left to complete the game 100 percent) So I go back to play it and my control sticks somehow got swapped (the left one is for looking and the right one is for moving) I've tried everything to switch them reseting the defaults and starting a new game and they are still messed up does anyone know how to fix this, because I can't play like this at all it takes me forever to move around.

oh well I've yet to figure out how this happened and am very upset about not being able to finish the game it is my favorite 360 game. But like I said I have no idea how my sticks got alternated so I have no idea how to fix them, I didn't even know it was possible to change them but oh well. I guess I could always start over, but that would take forever. Oh man you know what sucks I tried to start it over today and the sticks are still messed up but I'm screwed oh well.

you the screen where its your xbox live profile, not playing a game, there are 4 'panels' xbox live, games, media, system.
click on gamer profile and then to game defaults click on action and change movement to left stick, that should fix it, i hope
