Can't start daedric quests

Post by Maedhbh »

I'm really out of my depths - I'm level 10 now, and even the shrines where you just have to be level 2 will only give me the message that a more experienced hero is required. Has anyone got an idea?

Have tried talking with the followers around those statues? Talk to the one wearing robes, because he will be one giving you instructions on how to summon the Daedra Lord, if he requires a sacrifice.

If that doesn’t bring solution to your problem, there is a way to work things round. Unfortunately it will only work with PC.

Open the console and type this:

player.setlevel 30

Hit enter and talk to the statue, he should now give you the quest. But don’t forget to change your level back to normal by typing this in the console:

player.setlevel 10

The console command will only work in the scale of 1 to 255. The number represents the desired level. And it is always smart to make a back up save before hassling with the console, just in case.

I know that daedric quests have minimum level requirements, but some quests also require your fame to be above a certain level. I don't know if that's your problem, but you can increase your fame by winning matches in the arena, completing MQ or FG quests, or by closing oblivion gates.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

I forgot to say this yesterday, but you can see the level requirements in the quest log.

I know where to look for the level requirements - that's how I know that Azura needs only level 2.
After doing a bit of thinking I believe now, that it might be because I'm using the OOO mod - it's the lite version, where there should be no changes to daedric quests, but maybe something went wrong there. I'll try again at level 15, if that doesn't work, I don't know.
Thanks for your answers anyway...
