Problems getting into the Military army base

I think this is some annoying bug and i have no clue what the hell to do with it.
So i want to get inside the army base. Im going alone into the navarro like the man from the Brotherhood of Steel suggested but when i start talking to that robe man outside the armybase he says something like "if you are one of the new recruits why aren't you alone?". And the guard at the gates is just telling me to leave.
I have no one with me and i still can't get to the army base, anyone could help me out? Thanks

There is an alternate way in, if you want to use it. If you look inside the buildings at the gas station, you will find a hole. If you drop down into this hole, you will find yourself in a long hallway, which takes you into Navarro.

I think you have to be wearing a power suit, when you talk to the character at the gas station, to gain entrance as a recruit. Do you have one? He should give you a password that gets you in the front gate, if you prefer to do that.

I seem to remember that bug. I think if you park the car back at San Fran it might solve your problem. Long time since I played the game though.
