Problem with inputing PC name
Problem with inputing PC name
For some reason, I'm having trouble inputing a character name. None of my typing seems to register in the character slot, and I can't continue with the new character generation, though I can use a prebuilt character. Any suggestions on what could be causing this problem?

Are you using XP? Try running it in Win 98 compatibility mode. Though I suspect that won't help. It could be the keyboard, as you say. I would try inputting another keyboard to override that one, and see if that works.

Possible Solution
I only created this profile to respond to your issue - hope I'm not too late to help.
I encountered the same problem last night when I tried to restart with a new character. I had been running multiple applications on my little laptop, including a spreadsheet to help me keep track of all the character types I want to run for this game ('cause I'm OCD like that).
I suspect the cause of the problem was either because I'd been running multiple apps, and the game didn't like me multitasking, or else (and this is more likely), the game acquired the glitch after I'd switched from the game to my spreadsheet and back again. I've experienced similar problems switching between ToEE and its appropraite spreadsheets - coming back to the game often wreaks havoc on the interface.
Recommendation: close all other applications before you start the game, or at least, don't switch between applications, in order to prevent this from happening.
