Multiclassing?
Hey all. I'm still rather new to this game (Realy realy new) And dont realy know much about it yet. Even though I'v almost finished both the original campaign and the first addon. Curently started playing the second addon (Hordes of the Underdark) and I was wondering over what would be a good second class for a lvl 17 human fighter (Thinking of going to lvl 20 as a fighter before taking my secondary class)

Well, I personally don't ever play online, so I like self-sufficient characters. I try to end up with a character that has some way to heal themselves as a class ability. A few levels of cleric with the Healing domain would end up giving you that if you have any points in wisdom. Nothing major with only a few levels, but you could end up with some low-level buff's and a few healing spells to patch yourself up between battles without needing to rest.
Another route, Weapon Master, is really only worth IMO if you go 7 levels. Nice bonus to your favored weapon.
Champion of Torm is essentially a fighter with great saves for someone without a decent Charisma, and you get some benefits with a high charisma too.
I've never gone quite that high level in the fighter class if I was planning on multi-classing though. If you go WM you might end up all the way through Act 2 before really seeing the full potential of the class.

"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

or you could multiclass to a bard 1/Dragon Desciple 10 and get some insane bonuses... You also get the wings, which IMO looks like to chunks of meat.

sorceror/CC/Assasian multiclass
working on this one at the moment
level 5 Sor (lore requirement for DD)
level 10 DD (saved points to get hide 8 and MS 8 for Assasin class)
level 3 A (just got sent to underdark by Halaster)..
dual wielding shortswords and after the stat increases from DD now out and about kicking butt.
Dex based character but have high strength for gear etc... means that you can sell of the majority of heavy weapons/armour to get the best equipment for yourself and still have money for the later stages..
Teamed up with only one NPC (to try and advance quicker and give enemies a target so you can make the most of sneak attack).
