A little help please. Suggestions?

I'm a 9th lvl fighter. I've gotten my but kicked a couple of times but managed to come back stronger. I've even managd to kill two Fire Drakes.
(A lot of hiding and shooting them with a week bow." I'm trying to follow some of directed quests and have picked up additional ones along the way.
I picked up the "kill the Vampire for me" one and managed to kill her. I received the heart and took it back to the gentleman at the Inn.
Why can't I get into Custard Mansion? Did I screw up by giving him the heart to soon?

The two quests you're referring to are completely separate. The vampiress happens to hang out in front of the mansion, but has nothing to do with you getting inside. What you need to do is talk to Deliah Irons, the Guild of Mystery lady; she will give you a quest to steal a treasure map inside the Mansion and I believe also give you a key. At that point you can enter the mansion, and completing the quest does not force you into the Guild of Mystery, if you do not wish to join.

Do keep in mind you have a decently hard double-boss fight - I hope you have some good ice resistance and quick feet.

Edit: Here's some more specific directions, sorry I didn't include these originally. Deliah Irons is in the Slum District of town, which obviously you have access to since you've killed the vampiress. From the entrance of the Slums, walk down the stairs, take a right at the fork (left would have taken you to the mansion), take a right at the next fork, and follow the path. You will see a door to a shop; enter the shop and talk to the shopkeeper, Deliah Irons. She will give you the quest.

Thanks, I was driving myself nuts trying to find the Custard mansion after inticing invite from the uh eh um lady near the town gate.
I 'm new to this but was suprised to not be able to find any cheat codes for this game.

Just a note about the Ghost Lady. You don't need to fight her to get the map. After defeating Headless dude, you get the Map and can get out. Ghost lady if you spawn her on Hard Mode can be TOO Difficult as she uses Ice attacks that go thru walls...(so you would not be safe in Hard Mode...unless your prepared).

I usually do a little cheating in the beginning of the game...by playing in easy mode...and then saving/loading on Hard mode right when a boss character is low on health...for maximum experience...and they stay in easy mode with the same health...so why not do a little cheating. I do the same for the banshee lady and for the eleven spirit dude and for firedrakes and for the vampiress and for the two trolls. After my character becomes strong enough in the game...I usually just always leave the Difficulty mode on Hard.

Okay, enough of my 2-bits.
